Title: The Eternal Monopole

Abstract: 
Some intriguing physics ideas have been vindicated by later
discoveries, theoretical and experimental, whilst some have remained
eternally fascinating. Dirac's argument concerning magnetic charge has
survived seventy-five years of revolutions in our understanding and
yet even gathered strength. An account will be given.
